- Bio
Raised in the icy landscape of Grytviken, Antarctica, Paisley spent the first nine years of her life with a great thirst for knowledge and an affinity for strange, complex sounds. At ten she was kidnapped by Chilean Pirates whose boat, after the navigator committed suicide in his quarters over a seemingly mild incident with the cook in the galley, became lost at sea for about six months. Somehow rerouted to the shores of Papua New Guinea, Paisley, now almost 11, fled the craft and made her way to the Enga province where she spent the next six years learning to farm pigs and living in a dirt-floored shack made of local bush materials.
At seventeen, after growing sick of a life spent in sexually segregated solitude, she made her way to the United States where she has resided since. After a brief stint at the Texas-Mexico border as a ranch hand and bartender, Paisley migrated to the San Francisco Bay area.
Her nature as a complete audiophile led her to begin her radio program, Drowning Bluebirds, so that she could share her strange and varied musical tastes with the rest of the world. Or at least the greater Berkeley/Oakland area.
The rest of her time is spent enjoying 8 and 16 bit video games, web design, painting, photographing, crocheting, reading and scowling at police officers and military servicemen.
